#15 Ranking on Direct Selling News Global 100 List for 2011

DALLAS – April 18, 2012 – For the fourth consecutive year, Dallas-based Ambit Energy has been recognized as one of the top 100 direct selling companies in the world, according to Direct Selling News. The company moved up sixteen spots from the #31 position in 2010 to the #15 spot on this year’s Direct Selling News Global 100 list.

Helping drive the Direct Selling News ranking is the company’s dramatic customer growth. In 2011, Ambit Energy grew its customer base by 62% adding over 260,000 net customers. In 2012, Ambit is on target to pass the one million active customer milestone and expects to generate over $1 billion in revenue.

“We have empowered a community of entrepreneurs who are producing record sales every month as they strive to achieve their personal goals,” said Chris Chambless, Ambit Energy Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “We believe that the dedication of our Independent Consultants and our steady expansion strategy will continue to drive Ambit’s success as we help others achieve their own.”

“Growth of this magnitude is only possible because it is supported by great systems, talented people and a service culture,” said Jere Thompson Jr., Ambit Energy Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “As we strive to be the finest and most-respected retail energy provider in America, we are honored to be named number fifteen in the world by Direct Selling News and consider it more evidence that our commitment to excellence has been an effective strategy.”
